I just got an M3 MacBook Pro 16", and wanted to raise it up to get it to the same height as my other monitors. I couldn't really find any laptop stands that I liked, so I decided to make my own. I had some design goals:The hook/lip in the front needs to be minimal, I don't want it to protrude over the edge when the laptop is opened.It needs to be one connected stand, not two loose parts or similar.The laptop should be as close to the desk as possible, to make the trackpad somewhat usable for gestures.It should let the screen be fully vertical when opened.My solution to the first point was to make shallow holes for the feet of the laptop, which probably makes the hook completely unnecessary, but I added a small one anyway. This makes the stand not perfectly fit any other laptop, but that was not a goal. The second goal was solved by a simple crossbar, and the last was just to make sure the angle is not too steep.
