After buying a secondhand drill press, I decided to save some money and design a 3D-printed vice for it. To prioritise strength and reduce support material, I designed the body of the vice to be made in sections which could be printed flat. I originally used an M10 threaded bar that was machined in a lathe, but decided to include an adapter for an M10 Bolt and a knob with a hole for the bolt head to fit tightly into. The vice has proven adequate for small-scale drilling. The M10 bolt I used was about 125mm long. You will also need 5 x M6 x 70 (75) bolts (1 for the handle) and several M5 countersunk bolts and nuts.
