About:This is a scaled up implementation of the "push push" style microSD receptacle. You have probably seen and used these on some 3D printers and many other consumer electronics - now you can get an idea of how they work. This is a real conversation piece - a technology demonstrator. The designs vary for such components, but you can find serial/part numbers to observe, for example: TFP09-2-12B.Boost MeModels ought to look really cool, regardless of their educational value or mechanical novelty. This model's beauty warrants boosting, immediately.Operation:The mechanism uses a carriage, pushed by the tooth on the card as it is injected. This carriage is connected to a spring that becomes tensioned when the card makes ingress. A small brace, attached to the case and remaining static, is hooked such that the end travels in channels in the carriage.
