This is a magnetic mute for a bass guitar. I've included the STEP file so you can edit the design in OnShape or other CAD software to shape it to your bass. You'll need: 6mm magnets: x2½ inch ferrous tape: x2 strips ~1 inch long, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TWXY8HH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1Small felt sliders that stick on the tips of the M8 setscrews: x4-6 (depending on how many strings you have)M8 set screws (or print your own): x4-6M8 x 1.25 tap with tap wrench: x1 (to tap the holes for the M8 set screws Just put the ferrous tape on your bass, tap the print holes for M8, insert the set screws, and stick on the felt sliders on the M8 set screws. Glue the 6mm magnets in the holes in the bottom of the print. Adjust the depth of the set screws for your bass strings, and slide the whole mute up towards the head when you need to mute for a song, then slide it back down when you don't.
