This model is used to repair a broken magnetic catch commonly used to keep window shutters or cabinet doors closed. After over 20 years stuck behind the plantation shutters in my house, the original magnetic catches basically disintegrated due to sun exposure and all I was left with was crumbling plastic, loose magnets and mounting screws holding nothing useful. It was time to open up SolidWorks and get working on a design to repair these catches. I certainly didn't want to run down to the hardware store to buy full replacement catches (admitted cheap at $2.27 per) since I clearly already had all the hardware that I needed right in front of me. In my humble opinion, the design that I came up with seems much more robust than the original product. I've printed these in both Bambu Lab PETG Translucent and ASA filaments - separate profiles have been provided for each.
