This project is a 3D printed magnetic fidget inspired by metal fidget designs that use embedded magnets for smooth spinning and clicking motion. I created four variations — Plain, Floral, Grill, and Wave — each with a slightly different surface pattern and aesthetic. The print files are set up with a pause in the G-code to let you insert magnets mid-print. I used 6×3 mm magnets (sourced here); they’re a snug fit but sit securely once in place. When assembling, check magnet orientation to make sure the polarities align correctly — that makes a big difference in how the fidget moves.Below image shows where to place the magnets. After printing, it’s best to let the build plate cool completely before removing the part to keep edges clean and prevent warping.
