I created this to be able to seperate and reattach my work keys and non work keys. I have two vehicles that I drive to work on different occasions. I can pull my office keys and attach to the other keychain in seconds, rather than carry 2 key fobs all the time, or fumble with the rings. I have not fully test the 8mm version yet. The 10mm and 12mm version both hold on for dear life though. I can't fling the keys around and get them to seperate. I pulled with about 10 pounds of force and it held tight as well. As soon as you tilt one half to the side they easily come apart. You will need a few magnets to make this as well as key rings, if you don't have any spares. While it's more optional on the 8 and 10mm versions, I recommend a dab of super glue under each magnet on the 12mm version. They are fairly strong.
