Magnetic Knife Block

This project brings the classic magnetic wood knife block to the world of 3D printing! Designed to use pairs of 10mm x 5mm x 2mm magnets glued into internal cutouts, this design provides exceptional holding power for various blade sizes. The simple geometry serves as a perfect canvas for customization and I encourage everyone to adapt the design (e.g. embossed patterns or wood textures for printing with Wood PLA). For the best results, I recommend using a high infill percentage for the 10mm base to add stability and applying rubber feet to prevent sliding. I printed my prototype on a BIQU Cryogrip Frostbite and had no issues with warping.Note: This is an evolving project as I learn more about CAD. I plan to iterate on the design to include glue-less magnet slots and support for additional magnet sizes. I will add some photos when I apply some leftover peel-and-stick veneer.
