Magnetic Knife Holder

I had an excess of disc magnets at home so I decided to create some simple knife holders to stick onto my kitchen splash back. These holders suit a 10mm x 2mm disc magnet and there are two versions:

1. Small version is low profile with 5 magnets
2. Large version with 7 magnets is offset further from the vertical surface to allow for heavier knives with thicker handles

I went for clean, minimal look. The thin wall sections create an interesting feature where the magnets are. The holders suit medium sized command tabs so you can remove them easily, or just use double sided tape as splash backs are durable.

The .f3d archive is provided so you can easily tweak this to suit your own magnets. You'll get a stronger design if you have an exposed bar magnet, but if you have left over disc magnets like me this is a good way to use them.
