I have recently been focusing on the practical applications of 3D printing, and after a series of not so good attempts at making a pencil case I came up with this. It is (loosely) based on a Reuleaux triangle with added fillets to make it easier to hold.

It really doesn't matter what infill precentage or layer height you use, but supports are pretty much required and you may or may not ned to use a raft depending on how the pattern at the bases turns out. Different surfaces could produce different finishes, but since I own a Cetus I pretty much had to use one.

The locking mechanism requires six 5x5mm cylindrical magnets, the ones I used were Neodymium. They can be held in with plain superglue, though you might have to be careful while pouring it into the holes.

The model in the pictures is printed in two different materials since I forgot to switch them around (well oops). Might try making a parametric version or even a modular one at some point.

In total at 20% infill it
