While sewing face masks in quarantine, I realized I needed a magnetic pincushion to make my process faster. This one uses two 10mm round neodymium magnets, which are a fairly common size. I also used one of the roofing discs that came packaged with my magnets to keep them in place and create a larger magnetic surface, but that's optional. Your pincushion should work well without one.
Note: The alignment of the two magnetic fields is important. If you find that your pincushion has two magnetic "hot spots" at the edges instead of one in the center, flip one of your magnets over.
You will need:
2 10mm diameter, x 5mm tall neodymium magnets
2 M3 x 10mm screws
Optional:
1 2-inch steel roofing disc
