Magnetic Socket Holders

Magnetic holders for sockets designed to be used with 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch mild steel flat bar stock cut to length.

The design spec required customizable piece count, most hold sockets when magnetically coupled to a surface in any orientation, could survive a drop from 6 feet with sockets on the rail, and must be able to add sizes anywhere on the rail.

Definitely overkill for most, but looks great and is very functional.


Materials:
Bar stock, 1/2"x1/8"x36 for 1/4" drive

Magnets, disk, 10x10x5mm N35 or better (3/8 and 1/2" magnetic base)
Magnets, disk, 8x8x5mm N42 or better (1/4" drive magnetic base)
Magnets, square, 5x5x5mm N42 or better (socket retainer)
