Magnetic Test Tube Planter A minimalistic plant propagation holder for glass test tubes. The open design allows for easy viewing of plant root status and water level. I've designed the holder to fit popular test tube sizes with outer diameter of 18 or 25mm. The holders use popular 6x2 magnets. For added bonus, I've included printable test tubes for decoration - the large one can be used to hold dried flowers while the smaller ones can double as a pen holder. Design Details Both holders use 6x2mm magnets with clearance designed for rather lose fit. Make sure to glue the magnets in. 25mm holder set: Bottom holder: 3cm by 3.5cm by 2.5cm Top holder: 3cm by 3cm by 1cm 18mm holder: Bottom holder: 2.2cm by 2.7cm by 1.8cm Top holder: 2.2cm by 2.5cm by 1cm Test Tubes: 18mm: 18mm outer diameter, 10cm tall 25mm: 25mm outer diameter, 18cm tall Printing Recommendations The holders use standard PLA with basic settings, should be very easy print. The test tubes, in order to generate the "glass" effect requre clear filament. I'd recommend Clear PETG or very translucent PLA. Note: The printed test tubes are not water-tight. Don't use them for plant propagation! Sourcing test tubes The ones I've used are the ones with round bottom, similar to this ones: 25mm: https://www.amazon.com/BKMAMLAB-Glass-24pcs-Stoppers-Plastic/dp/B0CB8KYH9J 18mm: https://www.amazon.com/EISCO-Glass-Tubes-Stoppers-18x150mm/dp/B0C75ZG5R3
