MagSafe for MG4

This is my MagSafe compatible charger mount for the MG4 dashboard which is designed to fit the original Apple MagSafe charger with the 95 cm cable.

It’s important to print this mount with heat resistant filament - e. g. PETG. No support needed, 10% infill is sufficient, I printed it quite fast using 0,4mm layers.

Fit them together what might need some sanding, press the MagSafe charger into it and replace the original rubber tray. You might use some double-sided tape to fix it, but it also works without tape quite fine.

The print bed of my printer is a bit too small, so I had to print the tray in two parts and then join them together. But it works wonderfully: If you put the iPhone on it, it pulls itself into the right position almost by itself and starts charging. The MagSage Charger's USB-C plug is plugged into the 12V socket below the tray via an adapter. Thus, there is enough power to charge the smartphone sensibly. I also recommend using a USB adaptor
