This is a phone ring holder that's Magsafe compatible. Theoretically.
I haven't been able to test it yet as I don't have the required magnets. I've also not yet managed to print a version that snaps shut as intended without anything breaking. This is very much a work in progress, and all feedback is appreciated!
The idea: Phone ring holders are expensive, especially Magsafe-compatible ones. But theoretically, Apple's Magsafe technology is "just" a magnet ring. Anything magnetic sticks to it. So why not use that to our advantage? Using magnets in 3d printing is nothing new, and hinges have been a classical print-in-place 3d printing feature!
This design is _supposed to_ work by using 24 3x1mm magnets, for which there are symmetrical holes in the base ring. Depending on the used magnets' strength, with the distance the magnets will have to the phone, the holding strength should be somewhere between 1000 and 350g. Apple recommends 650-900g.
After the magnets are placed, carefu
