All the electronic test/assembly equipment I have comes with a mains cable, some are removable, some are not....
They all have the same annoyance, when you come to put the equipment away the mains cable has to be wrapped around the equipment, or folded and wrapped with a velcro tie or some other type of wrap.
This clip was designed to alleviate that problem:
Design constraint:
* Sturdy design - suitable for equipment fixtures.
* Mountable to the equipment using either screws, magnetic strips or some similar combination.
* Designed to be free floating, so removable power cords can be removed for storage.
* Have a central retaining clip, for a semi-permanent tie (used to stop cable coming loose).
* Support a 6' power cable
The first Revision - basic clip, used to prove that the concept is on the right track.
The second Revision - this is has all the features required in the design constraint. The unit has a mounting clip for a semi-permanent tie, recesses for velco/m
