Mallet Finger Splint

A simple splint designed for patients with mallet finger, baseball finger, or torn extensor tendon. Fully adequate dorsal support of the distal joint in a minimalist way that will not feel cumbersome. Not recommended for post-op use, only for mallet finger cases not requiring surgical intervention or correction.

Recommended tape is Micropore and can be found at your local drug store or pharmacy. Wrapping the bar itself in tape will reduce abrasion.

Print with the chamfered edge on the bed and the rounded side facing upwards. Apply to finger with the chamfered side facing upwards.

The design intent is not to be revolutionary or flashy, and to only provide the necessary geometry for splinting.
