This is a replacement plate for a manfrotto element tripod. Thread the screw through the larger section in the slot, this will allow the screw to be retained. extra screws can be found on amazon these are the ones I used.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KI3J7G2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
