This is a copy of the outside lights as seen in the Jardin de Cactus by Cesar Manrique in Lanzerote (scaled).
In the latter part of his life Manrique promoted sustainable tourism in his home island of Lanzerote. He created a number of varied tourist attractions combining Art, Architecture and Nature. He was one of too few people to provide a crossover between Art and Engineering. A subject that I'm passionate about.

If you get the chance to see his creations first hand then don't turn it down, it's an inspiration. It's how I spent Christmas!
Regarding the openSCAD Model. It was my first use of this tool and I know it's not a great job, that comes from starting without a plan and not knowing what you're doing! openSCAD itself is great, if you think it looks a bit daunting set yourself a day aside to learn it, you won't look back.
