This is a personal project I've been working on while in school for mechanical engineering. This is a 4 speed manual transmission using gear ratios to output rotational power and torque. I plan to add reverse and a shifting mechanism in the near future. 2 Shafts ¼"(0.25in) is required preferably metal but wooden dowel can work. I have used CA glue to fasten the gears to the shaft. The Hub gears and input/output gears must be fixed to the shaft. the thin synchronizer gears spin freely to ease gear shifting. Gear Ratios:First Gear 2.44Second Gear 1.77Third Gear 1.34Fourth Gear 1.00 Parts Needed:1/4" (0.25 inch) Shaft Metal/wood approximately 7.5inches long x2(Optional) External Retaining Rings can be used to reduce friction between gears and stand
