Mao Mao Wig Beads

These wig beads are designed for cosplay wigs, allowing them to be attached without sliding them onto the hair. They are press-fit in place, making them easy to install and remove while keeping the wig styling intact. Each bead is made of two halves with small aligned holes. Short pieces of 3D printing filament are inserted into the holes and act as pins/dowels, holding the two halves together through friction. This keeps the design simple and avoids the use of metal parts or glue. These beads were created for a The Apothecary Diaries Maomao cosplay wig, but they can also be adapted for other wigs or similar cosplay projects. The model is optimized for easy 3D printing, requires no supports, and works well with PLA or PETG. Multiple beads can be printed to decorate braids, ponytails, or hair sections in a clean and lightweight way.
