Marginalias

MarginaliaThe Marginalia are small, twisted beings that exist on the edges of creation, as if the world itself tried to write them into existence and then hesitated halfway. Some are malformed mutants, others half-born spirits, and some are strange errors of flesh and faith. They scuttle between rubble and trench walls, whispering in voices too thin to be human. A few are wretched spawn of Hell, marked by charring and sulfur. Others appear almost holy, their skin etched with scars that resemble forgotten prayers. Some wander like tiny martyrs, bearing wounds they should not survive. Each Marginalia is different, but all share the same unsettling truth: they should not exist, and yet they do. Whether they serve good or evil is unknowable; they simply cling to whatever source of strength is nearest.
