This is a model of the United States Marine Corps Memorial located in Arlington National Cemetery I made for Veterans Day 2015.. The base and statue are separate pieces. The statue will stand on its own if you print it wide enough.
The lettering on the inscriptions is small and may be illegible if you print the base small or with a coarse resolution. Check the preview carefully before printing. The printed model in the pictures was printed at 155%, which is the largest that will fit on my printer.
The memorial features a statue of the famous photograph of marines raising the flag on Mt. Suribachi during the battle of Iwo Jima in WWII.
The base is higher than in real life so that I could make the engraving large enough to be easily read.
The front says "Uncommon valor was a common virtue" and "Semper Fidelis."
The back says "In Honor And Memory Of The Men Of The United States Marine Corps Who Have Given Their Lives To Their Country Since 10 November 1775" flanked by
