Curiosity is a car-sized rover designed to explore the Gale crater on Mars. Curiosity was launched on 26 November 2011, and landed inside the crater on 6 August 2012. The rover’s goals include an investigation of the Martian climate and geology, and assessment of environmental conditions and the possibility of life.
