This would make a nice present for a skeptical partner who thinks you spend too much money on your 3d printing hobby. We have a pair of these massage roller balls we got a long time ago that are really nice. I took the two linked reference models as a base and sliced them up in Tinkercad to create this new handheld massage ball inspired by the originals. Assembly instructionsPrint all partsAssemble the ballI strongly recommend using a small amount of glue on the shaft screw to secure the ball permanently togetherPut the ball in the base partFit the ring on the top, and screw clockwise until it ‘clicks’ into place (requires some force)Tips for optimal performanceIt should work well enough as printed, but you can make it roll much better by using some fine grit sandpaper to sand the joint, the seams, and any other rough spots. The smoother the ball is, the better.Would print well in PLA or PETG. PETG may be a better choice for maximum glide.
