I had designed a phone stand / desk organizer that friends really liked, but it took too much material and time to print.
Realizing the core of it's functionality was simply a stand, I worked to make a version that would:
1. Print quickly.
2. Required less material.
3. Could be printed in high density for a given build volume.
4. Be stable enough to support a full size iPad in landscape or portrait mode.
This design works well, and does all the things I set out to do. It's not perfect, and I'm hack on sketchup on a good day - but it works.
If you need a bunch of them, print them interlocking on your printbed. You can fit a bunch, and they print nicely.
Enjoy it, print it, and play with it. It's yours. Let me know if you've got any suggestions for improvement - I love learning good design from the incredibly gifted folks here.
...and yeah, the title for this one is a kludge. What would you have called it?
