MDC Robson XTT Solar Panel Mount Insert

My solar panel rack on my Robbo has always been a pain on the butt.
Water would accumulate in the square tubing, start rusting out the tubing then leak rusty water all over my cover.
Not sure what they were thinking when they designed this part.
However I have a fix.
I have designed and 3D printed some inserts that should prevent any water intrusion in the future.
What I did:
. Fill the tine up with busy converter.
. Let that stand overnight to cure.
. Drill a drain hole, the. Flush out the rust converter with water.
. Allowed that to dry, then installed the inserts and a rubber plug for the drain hole.
. I printed the gasket in TPU and Insert in ASA both 100% infill.
. I painted the pack on the insert with clear coat, to help make it more waterproof.
. I used polyurethane sealer Sika 522 on sealing surfaces.

Time will tell on how well it performs.
