There is a gear inside the DD8L dehumidifier that drives the desiccant wheel using a small gear motor.
On my machine this motor contributed most of the noise made by the machine because the motion of the motor is quite jerky and there was backlash between the two gears.
I designed this improved gear that has less backlash and softens the motion of the motor to reduce noise. It works really quite well when printed in TPU
