This miniature base is intended for flying / aerial units, tailored for FDM printing and 0.4mm nozzle heads. Specifically, to use 0.5mm steel lathe bars as the stand/peg.

The hex base measures 30mm from face to face, and has a face height of 3.6mm. (on par with most 30mm base vendors). Works perfect for American Mecha.

The mounting hole is 0.9mm in width, which worked best for 0.5mm steel lathe bars. The extra diameter accounts for the extrusion width on a 0.4mm nozzle head. My layer heights were fine at 0.3mm.

If your unit does not already have a mounting hole, or you need to clear some messy extrusion in the base's mounting hole, a 0.5mm bit on a pen drill does the trick.

This is an original model I created in SketchUp.
