Have been making models for a Lancer RPG campaign and the type of mass produced units a gm might throw at a player.
I was thinking this model would be a great Aegis Support NPC for the Lancer RPG. The Lancer RPG's Aegis, is a size 1 unit.
Aegises are tough and defensive support units. It uses a DEFENSE NET or shimmering shield, and a light laser. The parts on the shoulders are shield projectors.
They are most effective when positioned so that their Defense Net can cover as many allies as possible since they can be difficult to redeploy. Regenerative Shielding also protects the Aegis from mobility-reducing effects.
I've not tried printing this one, but have oriented the baseless pieces with netfabb for what would appear to be the least fuss for supports. I also have models with the bases attached if you want to roll the dice and try and remove supports from underneath the mech. These should be thick and sturdy for solid prints.
