Mechanical pencil erasers are underused because they're half hidden in the body of the eraser shaft. This gizmo fits into the shaft and allows more eraser to protrude.

Not all mechnical pencils are the same, so some tweaking may be required. This thing fits the cheap ones you get 10-to-a-package.
