Med-E-Lert Pill Tipper

Sadly, a member of the family needs a little help staying in tune with taking their medications. If you have been there this can mean the difference between being at home and assisted living scenario's.

To that end, we had purchased a Med-E-Lert automatic pill dispenser and alarm system. The device opens the correct pills at the correct time and you have to tip it to get the pills while that same tipping action silences the alarm. They make a system that is bent sheet metal for the device to sit on and allows you to tip it while not having to manhandle the device. THEY WANT $130.00 USD for this tipper.

I said, well time to learn a little more OpenSCAD and decided to make my own. All the pieces are here to make your own and you can make it Left Handed or Right Handed by printing the proper cradle. instead of $130.00 I used more like $3.50 in PLA and maybe $2.50 in 3M Command Strips to hold the device to the cradle as seen in the pics.
