Melting Point: Chess Set

A chess set inspired by the movie Water World (1995), designed to melt as you play.
The chess board is styled after the shape of Pacific Ocean, and is to be used on a CNC router, to then be taken and used to create a food safe mold, to enable you to freeze water. This allows the board to be made out of ice, which will then melt as you play it. The chess pieces portray different types of Boats and yachts representing a speculative future in which a fully ocean based society is dominant. These pieces are intended to be 3d printed in PLA, I would suggest printing two sets of 16 chess pieces in two different colors.
