a rough sketch of the merlin rocket engine which can screw onto any two liter bottle. fill a bottle with rubbing alcohol and swish it around and pour it out so no actual liquid are left only the fumes. then light the end of the engine until the rocket "launches" and produces thrust. this is called a whoosh rocket and for more clean instruction search it up on YouTube or nasa forums.
