This design originated from a posting from someone who wanted to print a Christmas tree ornament, but didn't know how to design it. Another person posted a reply that approximated the original request, but wasn't quite right. I saw that reply and realized it could be the basis for an interesting container shape. So I modified it to have a larger size, a solid bottom, and a set of holed that looked appropriate. The end result is a mesh rather than the usual Rhino native geometry type I produce (Closed Brep), but the mesh translates fine to an STL file (with a little help from Netfabb.)
Here is a 21 sec. video that shows the overall shape pretty well: https://youtube.com/shorts/_NfxMyXQrvY?feature=share
I designed this part to be a bit thicker than usual since I wasn't sure how well the holes would print, so it took a bit more than 25 1/2 hours to print with a print speed of 100 mm/sec and layer height of 0.200 mm. Meshcontainer2 will be a bit smaller and thinner, so will print in
