My old vinyl metal shelf caps have deteriorated and popped off over the years, so I needed a simple solution to cover the sharp edges on the tops of the posts. I found a few other designs on Thingiverse, but most seemed oversized or overdesigned for what is needed, so my design is about as minimalized as possible.
These caps work perfectly and protect you from accidental scrapes and cuts. PETG would probably be the best option, but to my surprise PLA performs quite well for this application.
