Metroid desk Lamp

This is a Metroid-shapped desk lamp, it comes with big hollowed base and body to acomodate a variety of lamps inside, the one I used was a remote controlled RGB LED, placing the light module on the creature and the transformer half hidden in the base.

The body and display were made in grey, the fangs are an ivory white, and the membrane was made with translucent pla, not quite transparent, but good enough for the IR sensor to pick up the signal from the remote, and the light diffuses really well.

To get the membrane right, supports are highly recommended, and layer height should be less than 0.15 (the one in the photo was made in draft quality and it shows...).

For reference, this sucker is 230mm tall when assembled. I made a ttwo variations to the base, with the logo in different positions, as well as making separate parts for easier individual printing, pick the ones you like most. All pieces have some leeway, so you will want to glue everything together, except for the memb
