My entry for Metropolis Metrounderframes support challenge Main features of the design: - Main beam element is designed of rectangular tube 120x60x5 (laser cut) - 10mm plate at both ends of the beam for better load distribution - Static converter bolt connections from inside the tube - Tube cutouts reinforced with 5mm bent sheet metal plates - Original style battery box mounting brackets - Original frame mounts (solebars) - Simpler design and less welding comparison with the existing one - Support set weight 180Kg (vs 282.5kg for original support set) - Material: S275JR grade steel Stress Analysis report included in files.
