These pins are used to connect wires and components to the Micro:Bit quickly and easily, they are a tapered push fit so you can easily fit 2 or more Single Core 1/0.6 or Multicore 7/0.2 (which I find works best). You can put LED Legs and resistors straight in with the plugs.
