As an avid wood turner, I regularly use micro mesh pads in the finishing process to remove the scratches that remain after conventional sanding. Micro Mesh pads are used wet and one of the challenges I found myself dealing with was trying to keep them in the right order and somehow in a position that allowed them to dry after use.
The first solution I introduced was my wet sanding station that coupled a storage area for the pads with a water reservoir to keep them wet and remove the slurry generated during sanding. While many liked the design, there were some that wanted to separate the water reservoir and the pad holder. This was my answer to address that need.
The unit is designed with each of the micro mesh pads having their own cell to call home. Each cell has a floor that is angled towards the center which is open to an area below.
