This is a handy funelling filter designed to easily collect aquatic microbes for microscopy. The base contains a fine filter attachement to collect samples and is easily removable. This allows for easy harvesting of specimes to the micrscope or a petri dish.
also required;
* Designed to use an M8 threaded rod extention (can use 5/16th rod in yanky doodle units)
* a fine mesh filter (i use 20-50microns) cut into a 56mm circle
* 56mm X 3.5mm thick rubber o-ring seal
use:
Insert the filter mesh in the bottom of the base, place the o-ring on top. Lock the base to the funel (will be a bit rough first go, but will smoothen over time). Thread the handle and funnel to the rod (either use a thread cutting tap or heat up the rod).
Stir up the water, creek , pond while moving the filter through, once satisfied the filter can easily be removed and the mesh placed in a petridish for later analysis.
Printing;
Design aims to be very easy to print, supports are required on the base o
