I wanted to have a microphone close to me, but not invest into a new microphone mount. Thus, I designed one to fit into my Ikea desk lamp (IKEA Trål).
The microphone is a pretty heavy Behringer Ultravoice, and is held in place with (newly bought) hair bands - those are cheap, abundant and super sturdy.
The print comes in 3 parts. Here's how to:
1) Print one of the base plate and two of the rings. I used an Anycubic Photon, but most printers should be able to handle the dimensions and detail required.
2) Unscrew the screw in the lamp head, save the washers.
3) Take the 3D printed baseplate and carefully fit it into the middle of the lamp head. Make sure that the lamp cable still fits into the hollows.
4) Re-screw the lamp head. You'll need a longer screw to do so, I guess an M5 screw approx. 5 cm long should work.
5) Press-fit the rings into the triangles on the baseplate. Glue with some super glue if needed.
6) Fasten rubber bands in the rings, 2 per rin
