As a failed musician, I have an abundance of microphone boom stands laying around. This is an adapter that screws onto to the 5/8"-27 thread of the mic stand, and has a hole to place a bolt through onto which you can attach an accessory. This was designed to hold the HDX 1000 LED light from Home Depot https://www.homedepot.ca/product/hdx-1000-lumens-indoor-outdoor-integrated-led-portable-work-light/1001681840 The bolt hole fits a ¼" or #10 bolt, you can use a washer inside the head to provide strength. Push the bolt through from the inside so the thread pokes out the top. Put the bolt end through the hole in the mount for the light, and tighten down with a nut and lock washer/washer combo if desired. Don't overtighten or you'll probably crush the printed material. Then thread the large threaded opening onto the mic stand and position the way you want. The thread is supposed to fit 5/8"-27, which is the weird unique thread used on microphone stands in north america.
