MicroSnap™ – 3D Printed Micro Snap Matrix Fastener Description MicroSnap™ is a flexible, reusable micro snap matrix fastener designed specifically for 3D printing. Instead of fibers or adhesives, it uses an array of tiny printed PETG hinges that interlock under pressure and release cleanly when peeled apart. The result is a durable and slightly flexible fastening surface that behaves similarly to hook-and-loop systems—but with a fully mechanical, geometry-driven grip. This STL can either be imbedded into your 3d designs models or Epoxy/double sided taped to the surface you need to connect. I recommend thin foam double-sided tape. Why MicroSnap™? 🔹 Fully 3D printable – no extra materials needed 🔹 Reusable and long-lasting (no fraying like fabric systems) 🔹 Clean engagement and release 🔹 Scalable 🔹 Tunable by adjusting print settings and geometry Material Recommendation (IMPORTANT) Print in PETG for best performance. PETG provides the ideal balance of: Flexibility (for hinge action)
