The fit is intentionally snug, allowing the knife to 'snap' into two stable positions. The first position holds the knife at a slight angle for easy access, while pushing it further down seats it fully flat within the cavity. This second position applies minor flex to the bin's side walls, though it's subtle and even less noticeable when the bin is placed in a Gridfinity baseplate.
