This chess board box has been completely redesigned from the ground up with inspiration from the original creators design.
Changes:
1. Overall dimensions have been changed to fit on my Ender 3 V2 NEO printer (210mm x 210mm build volume). Individual part dimensions have been simplified and designed to be more consistent between each part with tighter tolerances than the original.
2. There is now a hole that has been implemented on the back of the drawer compartment to accommodate a thin round magnet purchased off Amazon (diameter of 20mm and thickness of 2mm). Secondary hole on the inside of the box to align with the drawers magnet. This prevents the drawer from falling out too easily.
3. Added glue channels between matting surfaces between pieces. This allows more surface area for glue to bond to during assembly as well acts as a template of where to apply glue.
4. More fine detail in the overall design such as: chamfered alignment pegs for easier assembly, rounded edges
