Mini Mill Vise

A small vise, perfect for use with a Sherline or other small mill. Designed for use with #10-32 threads for mounting to a 1-1/2" T slot spacing on table. Clamping area max: 6.5" x 3" Height: .725" Included is two Mastercam files for the making of the fixed jaw and the sliding jaw, the two most difficult parts to machine. Most of this can be machined with 3"x0.75" stock. The most difficult things about making this are the fixed jaw, that required 8.5" of 6x1 stock, but it could have been done with 5x1", then after that you need to bandsaw off the excess material, and finish off 25 thou from the sides using a sacrificial bar to mount it to a vise. Also, getting everything to the correct height is difficult, you must be vigilant to use the same thickness of stock (I used 1", clamped it just in the jaws of the vise, then faced off the excess bottom with a face mill to the correct height within a thou.)
