Here is my solution for the Mini Talon Hatch. I wanted to use the pile of Hatch Latches we had on hand. These are the typical Canopy latch used on many 3D planes. Can be found HERE: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/172552903900?chn=ps&dispItem=1
The fore end retains the wood block and can be used with a screw still if desired. I used (2) 1" pieces of .125" Fiberglass rod for my Pins.
The back end requires trimming and thinning the Hatch so that it sits nice and flush.
Print the Mini Talon Hatch Latch - Hatch Latch.STL top down. I chose to use some supports where the Latch Mechanism will fit in.
Print (2) Mini_Talon_Hatch_Latch_-_Talon_sides.STL with the Posts pointing up. These stay put in the airframe very well with the posts acting as anchors. I press fit them to make a mark then used my solder iron to make a small hole. NOTE: The center hole is offset to the BOTTOM. This is important for the Latch side, as the latch lock is offset to the Bottom.
