If you are looking for a small footprint, cheap, simple, diy external two-button footswitch for your guitar amplifier, or multi-effects system, then look no further. I needed this for my awesome Valeton GP-50, which I highly recommend to every guitar player out there. It's a great unit, but needs a few more buttons to make it totally usable at gigs. That was the motivation behind this model. This project requires the following components…2 x SPST Footswitches (normally open)1 x ¼" Female TRS JackThe footswitches above need to be latching for a traditional amplifier footswitch, or momentary for multi-effect boards that can take an external footswitch for additional controls. The wiring is the same for either of these. Just make sure you get the proper footswitches for your application.
