Miniature Chessboard

These are several variations on a small chess board I made. I printed the thin version at a scale of 85% x-y and 100% z. The second photo shows the board with the classic spiral chess set http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:470700 printed at 32% scale with king at 30% x-y and 32% z to keep the base a more uniform size. The picture with the blue squares shows it being prepped to be painted with painter's tape. Finally there's a picture of the painted set and board. The painter's tape didn't work as well as I had hoped, I may try to clean it up with a knife or sandpaper. This wasn't printed with a brim because I wanted to maximize the size on my small printer, but a corner lifted slightly and a brim may help to help keep it flat.
